Although we don’t know what will be developed at the I-69 interchange at Smith Valley, what would the residents of the Smith Valley Road area and the community of Smith Valley want built a mile down the road? We do know that our community has limited say at best, if we don’t control our own zoning. If we do control our own zoning we have the opportunity to grow our tax base by working to attract the type of businesses and employment opportunities that improve a community, not hurt home values and residents.
